Flavor’s of Baja
Expedition

This expedition is most ambitious one that combines the
Southern Cape Expedition, the Mission Trail Expedition and
also includes the whale watching experience. In this
extended tour the group heads for San Carlos on the Pacific
side for a whale watching opportunity and overnights in the
area. The caravan then crosses the peninsula to Loreto,
enjoying the history, activities and scenic wonders of the area. Mulege is the next stop, where historic cave and rock paintings in the area are explored. The expedition then
travels to La Paz for snorkeling at Los Islotes, and returns
to San Jose del Cabo via the
East Cape area. |

Mission Trail
Expedition

On this expedition visitors learn about the history of the
Jesuit missions in and around the region, including the very
first mission built in Baja at Loreto in 1697, then up the
road, the mission in Mulege built in 1705, La Purisima the
eighth mission in the chain, and a stop at the San Javier
Mission regarded as the most beautiful chapel in Baja. This
expedition includes a visit to the cave and rock mural
paintings providing a first hand history lesson that
predates
that the oldest human existence in America was
based in the San Javier Mountains 7,500 years ago. |

Southern Cape
Expedition

This expedition travels to La Paz- Todos Santos. La Paz is arguably the most picturesque of Mexico’s 31 state
capitals and one of the most beautiful cities in the
country. La Paz offers fishing, uncrowned beaches, and warm Gulf waters that attract
divers and kayakers from around the word. Here the group has
an
opportunity to snorkel at Los Islotes, at the extreme
north of the bay, where scores of friendly sea lions await
the daily boatloads of snorkels and scuba divers. The
caravan then continues to the East Cape and
Punta Pescadero
for more diving, kayaking, and overnights there before returning to the Los Cabos area via Santiago. |

Expedition among the Great Whales
