Day 1: Los
Angeles (Anaheim) to San Diego
After a short drive down the California coast, we’ll
introduce you to San Diego with a city tour that includes
downtown, the Gas lamp Quarter, and Balboa Park. We will
also drive across the Coronado Bridge for a great view of
the San Diego skyline. We then head south of the border into Tijuana, Mexico
allowing time for lunch and time to shop. Tonight we will
have dinner in San Diego’s lively Gas lamp Quarter.

2:
San Diego
at Leisure
You decide how to spend your day in California’s second
largest city. Perhaps visit Sea World or the San Diego Zoo.
After dinner we’ll check out one of the great nightlife
areas San Diego
has to offer.
Day 3:
San Diego
to Phoenix
This morning’s drive is full of ever changing scenery,
passing through both Cleveland National Forest and Anza
Borrego Desert. After lunch it’s on to Phoenix and our hotel
in the beautiful resort town of Scottsdale.
Our hotel is in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, with numerous dinner and nightlife options to choose from.
Day 4:
Phoenix
to the Grand Canyon
This morning, there is the opportunity to take an optional
hot air balloon ride over Arizona’s Sonora
Desert at sunrise. See the desert come alive as you float
peacefully above. We will pass many Saguaro Cacti as we head
north to the new age town of Sedona. Experience Sedona’s
beautiful back country with an optional jeep ride, shop for
Native American Jewelers , or just enjoy breathtaking
scenery. Next stop is The Grand Canyon! Our modern cabins
are located inside the National Park, just a short walk to
the rim of the Grand Canyon.
Day 5: Grand Canyon at Leisure
At over 1.6km (1 mile) deep and averaging 16km (10 miles)
wide, it is easy to understand why the Grand Canyon is
considered one of the world’s seven natural wonders. We have
the entire day to hike and explore the national park. Maybe
take a sensational helicopter flight over the canyon
(optional). Don’t miss the spectacular sunset at the Grand Canyon.
Day 6:
Grand Canyon to Las Vegas
Leaving the Grand Canyon, we travel to the city of non stop
excitement and glittering lights, Las Vegas. On the way we
will stop on The Mother Road, Route 66. Our night city tour
travels down The Strip, home to many of the world’s largest
hotels and casinos. The city tour ends with a showing of the
Fremont Street Experience, the world’s greatest collective
light show. After Fremont Street, why not take in a famous
Las Vegas cabaret show?
Day 7: Las Vegas at Leisure
The day is yours to take in this exciting city. Perhaps try
your luck at the tables or slot machines at one of the
famous casinos – Caesars Palace, The Mirage, MGM Grand, or Pyramid. Maybe you’ll want to explore some of the
attractions at the newer hotels – Mandalay Bay, Bellagio ,
or The Venetian. Feeling adventurous? Take a ride on the
world’s highest roller coaster at the top of the
Stratosphere Tower. Great shopping, concerts, fabulous
restaurants, and 24-hour nightlife – Las Vegas is truly a
city that never sleeps! Hotel
Day
8: Las Vegas to Bass Lake
We will stop in Barstow this morning for the chance to do
some outlet shopping. This afternoon, we head through the
Mojave Desert en route to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and
our chalets located on the shores of beautiful Bass Lake,
the gateway to Yosemite National Park.
Day
9: Yosemite National Park from Bass Lake
Today, we will explore the magnificent Yosemite National
Park, with its famous rock formations of El Capitan and Half
Dome. When we arrive on the valley floor, you will have the
opportunity to cycle or hike (seasonal and weather
permitting) or simply soak up the atmosphere of one of
America’s treasured national parks. We return to Bass Lake
in the afternoon for water sports (seasonal) and to relax in
our mountain paradise.
Day
10: Bass Lake to San Francisco
Heading west, we arrive in San Francisco – The city by the
bay. After lunch at Pier 39 on Fisherman’s Wharf, we will
introduce you to America’s most cosmopolitan city with an
extensive city tour including The Golden Gate Bridge, North
Beach, Golden Gate Park, and Height Asbury – made famous by
the summer of love in 1967. Perhaps you’ll join us tonight
for an optional dinner in Chinatown.
Day
11: San Francisco Sightseeing
This morning we take an included tour of Alcatraz, possibly
the most famous prison in the world. After exploring "The
Rock" at your own pace, you will have the rest of the day to
explore this fascinating and diverse city. Ride on one of
the city’s famous cable cars, shop in Union Square, bike
across the Golden Gate Bridge, or take a walk down crooked
Lombard Street.
Day
12: San Francisco to Santa Barbara
We leave the City by the Bay this morning and head south
towards Southern California. This afternoon we will arrive
into the beachside city of Santa Barbara. There will be time
to relax on the beach, go rollerblading or biking, or take
in the shops along popular State Street. Tonight, take the
opportunity to experience Santa Barbara’s nightlife.
Day
13: Santa Barbara to Los Angeles (Anaheim)
This morning we will make the short drive to the
entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles! Your city
tour includes: The world famous Hollywood sign, Mann’s
Chinese Theatre and the Walk of Fame, Melrose Avenue, and
Beverly Hills. We’ll conclude your city tour with a visit to
Venice Beach. Your tour ends upon arrival at our Anaheim
hotel this afternoon.
