Day 1: USA or Canada / Gdansk, Poland
Depart by overnight flight to Gdansk.
Day 2: Gdansk
Transfer to your 17th-century manor house hotel where the rest of
the day is at leisure. Gather tonight for a welcome dinner and

Day 3: Gdansk
Start the day with a guided tour of Gdansk, the birthplace of the
Solidarity movement led by Lech Walesa. Visit the Old Town and see
the Renaissance “High Gate,” the Neptune Fountain, the Town Hall and
the fine Patrician mansions of the Hanseatic era along the Long
Market. Also visit the fascinating Maritime Museum, housed in the
“Old Crane,” a medieval landmark building. After lunch at a local
restaurant, continue to the historic shipyards to visit the
Solidarity Museum. End the day at the glorious baroque cathedral in
nearby Oliwa for a concert of its famous rococo organ. Hotel Dwór

Day 4: Gdansk / Malbork
After a leisurely start to the day, continue to Malbork where, after
lunch, you visit the imposing 13th-century Marienborg Castle. One of
Europe’s largest and impressive medieval strongholds, it was the
seat of the Order of Teutonic Knights. Later check in to your
charming hotel set within the grounds of the castle and dine this

Day 5: Malbork / Warsaw
This morning travel by fast train to Warsaw, with lunch on board. On
arrival in Warsaw embark on an introductory panoramic tour along the
famous Royal Mile. Stroll through the magnificent 18th-century
gardens of the Royal Lazienki Park before checking in to your
luxurious hotel, the city’s landmark property. This evening dine `a

Day 6: Warsaw
This morning discover historic Warsaw with an expert local guide,
starting with the Old Town. Visit the former Jewish Ghetto and the
Historic Museum, which charts the Old Town’s destruction in WWII and
subsequent regeneration. Then, after free time for lunch, tour the
lavish baroque Wilanow Royal Palace, followed by the intriguing
Palace of Culture & Science. This evening enjoy a private concert of
music by Chopin, Poland’s most famous composer, in the impressive
surroundings of Szuster Palace before dining `a la carte in one of a
carefully selected choice of traditional Polish restaurants. Le

Day 7: Warsaw / Czestochowa / Jasna Góra
/ Kraków
This morning travel to Czestochowa for a guided visit of the Jasna
Góra Monastery, home to the famous 14th-century Black Madonna icon
painting. After lunch in a local restaurant, continue to glorious
Kraków, one of Europe’s most beautiful old cities, and check in to
your luxurious hotel. Dinner this evening is `a la carte at the

Day 8: Kraków
Today discover the cultural treasures of Kraków, including the
opulent 16th-century Royal Castle and the Cathedral on Wawel Hill.
Walk through the Old Town, dominated by its magnificent medieval
Market Square, the largest of its kind in Europe. Then transfer to
the Jewish Quarter, a thriving city in its own right during the
Middle Ages, for lunch at leisure and an afternoon walking tour. The
remainder of the afternoon is at leisure, before regrouping this

Day 9: Kraków / Auschwitz
This morning you may choose an optional excursion to Auschwitz and
Birkenau, or join a visit to the captivating Kraków Stained Glass
Factory. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Farewell

Day 10: Kraków / USA or Canada
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board a homebound
flight. B
